MEDITECH NPR Report Writer/ Programmer
Summary
Function - Write MEDITECH NPR reports and report status and/or concerns to project manager, communicate with customers to determine NPR report specifications.
Scope - The NPR Report Writer works with customers and project management in order to create, install, and troubleshoot NPR reports. Takes ownership of assigned NPR Reports and is responsible from initial coding to customer acceptance and also helps support the NPR Reports.
Duties
Essential Functions – Performs all of the following
- Write and test NPR Reports
- Work effectively with Project Management
- Communicate directly with customers to determine specifications via email, telephone, etc
- Prioritize customer issues properly and communicate updates as appropriate. Use good judgment to determine problems that may need escalation
- Manage multiple issues in a fast-paced environment
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Education
- Required - Vocational or Technical training in computer programming
- Preferred - Associate degree in the field of information technology or in a related field
Experience
Required
- 3 Years of NPR report writing experience
Desired
- 4 years of NPR report writing experience and 3 or more years experience in Healthcare programming
Certification or licensure
- None Required

System Administrator
The Position entails the following duties.
- Implementing and managing monitoring of all server based systems. Follow up on all monitoring alerts from Monitoring systems.
- Responsible for Backup and Restore Management and Disaster Recovery.
- Provide day to day maintenance on Servers.
- Building Servers. Both physical and Virtual.
- Assist the rest of the team with Server and Network Issues when needed.
- Manage the Anti Virus Environment.
- Responsible for Server inventory.
At the very minimum the candidate would need to have all of the following skills
- 2+ years in a System Administrator type role.
- Have worked in an environment with at least 20 windows Servers.
- Implementing and troubleshooting Server hardware including configuring RAID, SCSI configurations, replacing hardware etc.
- Knowledge of implementing and troubleshooting all versions of windows 2003 Server.
- DNS, DHCP and WINS.
- Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory and/or LDAP systems.
- Some exposure to SQL 2000/2005.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Security and authentication.
The following skills are not essential, however would provide an advantage to the candidate.
- Some Exposure to Windows Sharepoint Services - Installing, Configuring etc.
- Knowledge of Windows Server Clustering.
- Experience with Dell/EMC SAN’s.
- Exposure to VMWARE ESX.
- Experience managing a SQL 2000/SQL 2005 environment.
- Basic switching and routing skills.
Clinical Documentation Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinically based concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient medical records to evaluate the clinical documentation of acute care services.
- Will work closely with physicians and medical staff to facilitate appropriate physician documentation of patient care.
- Responsible for reporting quality of care outcomes and in obtaining accurate and compliant reimbursement for acute care services.
- Conducting initial and extended-stay concurrent reviews on all selected admissions and documenting findings.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Must be a Medical Graduate or RN (licensed).
- Minimum of 3+ years clinical experience in an acute care setting.
- Prior Case Management experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of care delivery documentation systems and related medical record documents.
- Knowledge of age-specific needs and elements of disease processed and related procedures.
- Strong broad-bases clinical knowledge and understanding of pathology/physiology of disease process.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent critical thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective partnering relationships with physicians, nursing staff and hospital management staff.
- Working knowledge of inpatient admission criteria.
- Ability to work independently in a time-oriented environment.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with the operation of basic office equipment.
- Assertive personality traits to facilitate ongoing physician communication.
- Working knowledge of Medicare reimbursement system and coding structures preferred, but not required.
- Be willing to travel up to 50% of the time and/or relocate.
Case Manager
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the quality and resource management of all patients that are admitted to the facility from the point of their admission and across the continuum of the health care management. Works on behalf of the advocate, promoting cost containment and demonstrates leadership to integrate the health care providers to achieve a perceived seamless delivery of care. The methodology is designed to facilitate and insure the achievement of quality, clinical and cost effective outcomes and to perform a holistic and comprehensive concurrent review of the medical record for the medical necessity, intensity of service and severity of illness.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Licensed Medical Graduate or California Registered Nurse with current license.
- Five years acute care nursing experience preferred. At least one year experience in case management and knowledge of discharge planning.
Performance Improvement Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the Director of Performance Improvement, participates in the implementation, integration and coordination of the organization wide performance activities. Duties encompass all aspects of the programs including design, measurement and assessment and improvement activities. Serves as a resource to the organization on performance improvement and risk management principles and tools. Primarily responsible for coordination of data, reporting to appropriate committees and facilitates the Performance Improvement processes.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Medical Professional with clinical medical knowledge.
- Computer skills, Microsoft Office , proficiency in a variety of software programs.
- Typing 60wpm.
- Two to three years experience in Performance Improvement or Risk Management preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills with exceptional professional work ethics.
